Virginia, August 2011

I'm finally getting around to putting up some pictures from our wonderful trip to Virginia. It's been a crazy, but fun summer! I'll hopefully get around to putting up some video soon. It seems we were there just in time. I suppose our southern family will get around to seeing this once their power comes back on following Hurricane Irene which is hitting right now! We also just missed the first earthquake in over a hundred years by only a few days. Glad we got out alive, really!!!

Ben LOVED the beach! Almost too many pictures to pick from!

Lot's of beach time while visiting Great Grandmother Shirley in Sandbridge.

And, yup, Hailey hung under the covers very well again. She loves the sound of the waves. Very relaxing!

Mom's actually NOT holding a baby!

Back in Richmond, Hailey loved playing with her Aunt Allison. Although Lucy was jealous!

Chillin at the pool!

Ben was out little fish! Also, the white on his face is the remnants of his powdered donut he just had poolside!

Hailey relaxing with Great Grandma Betty and Great Grandpa Pop!!!!!

Great Grandma Joyce got her hands in there, too!

Ben airborne from the pool!

On the deck, getting ready to go to the beach our last morning in Sandbridge.

Lunch Time!

Ben at 11 weeks

Hailey at 9 weeks. Yup!!!

Ben has discovered that bandaides "fix" EVERYTHING! Every boo boo.

It's a rainy day, I've been home with the kids for a while now. We needed something new. So, I dove into a new realm! Play-doh! Ben is addicted! He's been making "Munch," aka Lunch, all afternoon long! Mainly pancakes, pizza, and cake. It's delicious. Wait, he just figured out "fries!"

Everything else is going well. Long story short since I'm out of time, Hailey is SLEEPING A LOT! Like through the night! We're getting 8-9 hour stretches! It's ridiculous!

More to come when there's time!

It's Hot Out!!

I know, I just posted a couple days ago, but I couldn't help it, these were too cute. So, enjoy some video of Ben running through the sprinkler! He LOVED it! It was a nice way to get outside on another extremely hot day here in Oak Forest!
Oh, and this morning I registered for a half marathon. I'm crazy. It's paid for. I'm doing it. It's now or never! May 6, 2012, Kalamazoo, MI.

Oh, and I'm climbing the Willis Tower (ie: formally known as the Sears Tower) again this year for charity, so I'll be soliciting $$$ soon for a good cause! I plan to beat my time previously set in 2009 of 103 floors in 32 minutes 20 seconds. Goal: 27minutes. See post from November 15, 2009 if you feel the need to review!!! I just read it and almost backed out. I don't remember it being that hard! Maybe it's like childbirth, we forget as soon as it's over how much it hurts and say crazy things like "I'd do that again!" Oh well, I'm registered for that, too, it's over, I'm doing it...
